Wow Mary, I've just been slapped by the past... I was such a goon, when I was however old I was when these were on. Really...a child. I do remember thinking that if an ambulance had to come and pick me up, I hoped the guys were as smart as Johnny.
I sometimes wonder if this show were the real start of my interest in medicine. I thought it was so cool how the paramedics/nurses/doctors expelled half of every syringe by spraying it on the ceiling. It amuses me anytime I am drawing up medications and have to spray some of it out while clearing the bubbles from the syringe.

I can't believe I used to think their hair looked SHORT. Living with a military man makes me like it short, short!
